In 2016 I read 45 books. I was aiming for 50 for my goodreads challenge, but to no avail. I’m not too sad about it because while I missed the mark by five books, I tried to not force myself to read for anything but pleasure this year.
My top 3 favorite books of 2016 would probably have to be:
- Where’d You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple
- A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
- You are a Badass by Jen Sincero
- Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi, which was incredibly told.
There’s an interesting mix of fiction, fantasy, and self-help for you. Clearly my head was all over the place in 2016. I didn’t read a lot of books this year that made me stop, drop and call all my book friends, so hopefully in 2017 I’ll find more that interest me.
What was your favorite 2016 find?
